Formerly Gundaroo Horse Park, the breeding and training operation was transferred from Gundaroo, NSW in January of 2011 to Charley Barber’s property, “Bannister Springs” located on farm land in the fertile Bannister district . The property, named after the freely flowing springs that fill the dams without the need for rain, is located on virtually drought-proof country that grows grass and nurtures horses

Rosemary Howe, the owner of the Ballalaba stud prefix has been a breeder of note of American Saddlebreds for over two decades. With her partner, Charley Barber, Rosemary now manages her beautiful American Saddlebred horses in magnificent facilities incorporating a dressage arena, two round yards, a flow-through yard complex and nineteen electrified paddocks (including four undulating, broad acre paddocks)separated by laneways for the safety of the horses. The horses here can be horses galloping freely, stretching their legs and growing up supple, agile and strong.

Charley and Rosemary welcome visitors to “Bannister Springs” and currently have a number of horses suitable as performance and pleasure prospects.
